As a photographer, I wanted something simple: a faster way to review, select, organize and develop my photographs without jumping between different applications.
That's why I created PHOCULL, a hybrid photo culling and editing workspace for Mac.
From fast JPEG and RAW browsing to ratings, Auto Reject for problematic shots, Develop adjustments, video support, watermarks, batch renaming and export, PHOCULL brings everyday tools together in one offline-first environment.
I believe technology should make photography easier, not take creative decisions away from us.

PHOCULL combines the speed of traditional photo culling with practical image development tools. Browse JPEG and RAW files, compare photographs, assign ratings and organize your selections without constantly switching between applications.
A Little Automation, A Lot of Personal Choice
Auto Reject helps identify potentially problematic photographs, including shots with closed eyes, making the first selection process faster. But the final decision is always yours. Sometimes an imperfect photograph tells the best story, and no algorithm should decide that for you.
More Than Photo Culling
PHOCULL includes a Develop workspace, video support, watermark and logo options, batch renaming, drag-and-drop functionality, export tools and multiple saved FTP connections. It is designed to help photographers manage their work from the first selection to final delivery.
It also works offline with local folders, keeping your photographs on your computer. Experimental support for compatible Lightroom camera profiles is also being developed.
Made for Photographers, Not Instead of Them
I didn't create PHOCULL to replace professional editing software or the photographer's personal vision. I wanted to bring useful tools together, make everyday work faster and leave more time for creativity.
